Well, the Spaghetti Western Orchestra was a treat.  The leader, "Storyteller" Patrick Cronin (the whistler) really loves the whole Morricone repertoire, that's for sure (they used to be called "The Ennio Morricone Experience").  He may not be as good a whistler as Allessandroni (I likely mis-spelled that), but he's pretty damned good.  They started out with harmonica solo which merged into Once/West As a Judgment.  Then came GBU title theme.  Throughout they played about 4 GBU tracks, including Ecstacy of Gold, Death of a Soldier, a version of Story of a Soldier (whout vocals).  Also included was Jills theme, Death Rides a Horse (with its silly English vocals), Two Mules, title from Duck You Sucker.  They did a tribute to "ordinary" sounds like Morricone used (cicadas, flies, water dropping), did a part about sound effects (boot on corn flakes, balloon to make wind noise).  The whole thing makes one in awe of how many instruments and choices Morricone used.  Yes, they sang "we can fight" in the Fistful of Dollars title, also did For a Few Dollars More title and 60 Seconds to What gunfight, actually merging from Fistful into Ride of the Valkyrie from "Nobody" into FDM, very cool.  I bought the CD they sold there as well.  There were several hundred attendees, very close to sold out (we were in second row).  So, now: (1) Saw all these films in theaters upon original release
(2) Attended Leone exhibit in Los Angeles
(3) Visited the arch in Utah
(4) Saw restored GBU in theater
(5) Spaghetti Western Orchestra
Now all I need is to get to Spain !!!

I have read that the Spaghetti Western Orchestra has stopped touring, likely has disbanded.  Fall 2014.
