I culled this from Kaminsky's bio of Eastwood (pag. 28). Is a partial quotation from Judith Crist's review of the movie appeared in New York World Journal on February 2, 1967:

"ersatz Western" dedicated to proving that"men and women...can be gouged, burned, beaten, stomped, and shredded to death". Anybody can furnish the complete review?
