Here is 6th Street Williamsburg, the street where we first see Max on the wagon with the Williamsburg Bridge in the background.

On the way around the Old Brooklyn Navy Yard we passed this old store front

At Astor Place Subway Station we spotted this newspaper stand located in a disued womens restroom.

I'm only 3 hours from NY (I live down in DC) so next time I'm there I'll try to visit some of those places personally. Might have to twist my wife's arm a bit tho...

We recomend you leave the wife at home.  O0

I had to go to the city with the wife yesterday she went to an audition and I was free to roam around SoHo, NoLiTa, Chinatown, and made a stop at McSorley's lol. Any way I got a shot of these old NYC street lamps on cobble stoned Mercer Street.

If we could get a zoom in on the front of the truck that may help, it looks like an American made truck, would they have had them in Rome or vicinity, I wouldn't think so, it seems it would be cost prohibited to get get one shipped in also.

Went with CJ and Drinkanddestroy on a locations tour yesterday, topped off with a viewing of the film at Lincoln Center. We hit Court Square in Queens, then the Hoboken train and ferry terminal in NJ, then wandered around with thousands of our closest friends in DUMBO (there was some kind of street event going on), spent a few minutes in Williamsburg, and then refreshed ourselves before the main event at McSorley's. It was a really fun day and really, really exhausting (except for Hyper Boy, who took all the dashing around in stride).

Once again I have to acknowledge the huge debt we owe to the man known as A1: without his very thorough guide and directions, finding what we were looking for and recognizing it all would have been immensely more difficult and time-consuming. Thank you. Please keep your site (linked to at the top of this thread) up and running forever!

The high light of our tour was going where A1 dared not go, we went to Hoboken, NJ and went to the Erie Lackawana RR Terminal/Ferry building, following A1's directions we arrived at the foot of the stairway and encountered a sign. . .

. . . and me, being an x-New Yorker, d&d a current one, and DJ a recent one, instantly determined that the sign only pertained to PASSENGERS, hell we weren't passengers, were were Cinema Detectives and Leone Archeologists, and we went right up!

To Be Continued.....

yeah, great times. I did my best to keep the old men on their toes.... somehow half the day was spent talking about Groggy ;-)..... anyway, cj is gonna upload the pictures soon, and eventually the videos once we figure out a way to do the transfer..... stay tuned....

they say you learn something new every day, and here are a few things I learned:

a) dj is a mean whistler, as you will see in the vids.
b) and he can put down quite a few McSorley's brews
c) his name really is Dave Jenkins
d) hailing a cab in Lower Manhattan is not easy
e) the volume at the theater at Lincoln Center sucks
f) people will actually go to a Tuesday Weld exhibit.
g) dj HATES walking
h) Groggy is an interesting topic of conversation
i) for two esteemed film geniuses, cj & dj are mighty humble and cool, for agreeing to babysit me on their film tour. Was like Hemingway and Steinbeck had allowed a college kid minoring in Literature to tag along while they were talking business
