Pippo: I am sorry I misspoke in my previous message, and confusing you;
it wasn't me, Once got confused...
glad to be of some help, I thank you all for the precious information I found, and still continue to find, in this board
Let's assume for the moment that it is the same building: Two questions: A) Do you know whether or not the building was/is in use or abandoned, both in 1983 (when OUATIA was filmed) and now? B) Do you know for certain that all the locations used in Boardwalk Empire are in the NY-area? (I am just wondering if perhaps it is possible that the building is indeed in Montreal, and Boardwalk Empirejust shot exteriors there, eg. with a second unit)?
cj: if I ever used imdb as a citation, you'd smack me down. and rightfully so ;-)
WTF else are you gonna use, you got something better I was trying to get google street view to work for Steiner Studios in the Navy Yard then I would have cruised around and looked, but it wouldn't finish loading
I thought the "NYS Reformatory For Boys" building was in Montreal but after watching Boardwalk Empire, I'm not sure.Some of the windows and other features have changed but it looks the same building as the "Atlantic City Armory" in a recent episode of Boardwalk Empire. William Forsythe (Cockeye) is also in the series.Short video at YouTube comparing the two locations:http://youtu.be/62JkMNvi2EIIf it is in Brooklyn or Queens it could possibly be another place on the tour.
