I'm going to post my items on GIU LA TESTA here, hope you enjoy the stuff.

I'll start with the USA. Here's the insert, the 22x28 half sheet & the 11x14 LC-set.


From England here's the quad poster and the Front of house set:


The French 120x160cm poster, two rare door panels and 16 LC's. Two cards are missing (set of 18).
Does anybody know, which two cards are missing? I'd appreciate any kind of help here..

I'll go on with Germania. For my money the German (first release) set of 24 cards
is the best. (I'll exchange the bad quality images here soon, technical problem)

Posters from Belgium, Spain, Yugoslavia. Then there's the funny Turkish 1-sheet. As
usual the Turks got a little mixed up and incl. WWII action

Viva Italia.
Here are 8 photobustas (anybody saw more / different ones ??) plus two big ones (soggettos).
Then there's the 4-foglio poster I bought in bad shape and restored a bit. One of my all-time favorite poster ever. It's also the artwork of the Italian insert (locandina). I'll post that one and the 2-foglio (1-sheet) soon.

Congratulations, that's a really nice collection you got there, and that's only the GLT section.

But, I was always wondering, where do you keep all that stuff? Do you have it stashed somewhere and ready for special occasions, or you ''use'' it from time to time for your own satisfaction? From what I can gather, those don't go on walls.

I have the house here filled with stuff, so I never thought really about 'storing problems'
The only stuff I hate are unfolded posters - take a lot of space and it's dangerous too look at them
very often.
I started at the age of ten some 30years ago, so my Mum got used to it and later my girlfriend. Also
I use the archive professionally, doing DVD Booklets, galleries, eBay etc.
Sometimes I hate the fact that I love so many genres and films, appears that I collect
EVERYTHING. Not really, but there so many great movies out there. Especially 40's - late 70's.

Denying is probably the most grave symptom of what you have. Go in front of a mirror, look yourself in the face, and admit to yourself: I AM collecting everything!

Jokes aside, it is indeed a nice collection, but speaking from my own experience, there must have been a moment when you realized there's too much of that stuff, like you can't spare the time to go through everything anymore, and enjoy it piece by piece. I've collected various stuff, and whether you're collecting music CDs or something else at one point you start collecting it all just for the sake of collecting. Like you must have it, and then when you finally have it you throw it in some corner of the house and forget about it. Luckily, I never had the money to go after posters and things like that.

No, I never had that moment. Actually I know many collectors who 'just' collect and store it away. Where's the point? Just owning it? I never understood that. I spent like 2-4 hours over the week checking and looking at the collection. It gives me great pleasure, almost a meditation. Every time time I get a new item for a film / genre / director or actor I collect, I check most of the rest I have on them. I just love the feeling to see it in front of me. Also paper is touchy so I have to fight detoriation in the very beginning. Only when I'm shooting a film I don't look so much at the stuff - distracting it can be.

There are times when I feel guilty: Bills not all paid yet and $$ spent for something expensive I couldn't really afford at the moment. But that ''this is the moment to get this item, 'won't cross my way in years again..'' - VIRUS is hard to fight.  But most of the archive finances itself since I am also a dealer and buy collections to sell the items individually. But for that you need to know the market well.

When I used to live alone, my apartements usually were described as 'film museums' by friends and visitors. There was a problem with finding place
to store the archive since it grows all the time like the BLOB or the YMIR. Now we have a big apartement and two archive rooms for myself, so friends can visit us without being shocked. When they see my archive rooms they are still shocked though I like to visit some of my older collegues who have more than I have, I then feel almost normal

If you have the time and desire to sit down and enjoy your entire collection from time to time no matter how big it is, then you have every right to continue collecting. It is fascinating, I'm a sucker for collecting, don't get me wrong, but I had to pull the emergency cord. Mostly because of financial reasons.

And because ''certain people'' didn't like dusting it all very much.

But still, there was really no need to skin your poor dog just to make room for those old VHS cassettes.

My girlfriend pretty soon got rid of them. She has a good influence
on me. And she likes Sam & Leone

Loves Leone and Peckinpah, dusts regularly, animal activist, let's you have two whole rooms for your hobby...

...and got you out of that loft where you were living before (pretending you're an artist or something)...

What more can you ask from a woman?
