Hi there,
I'm preparing a paper for university. Most probably I will try to find out, why Once upon a time in the West was a hit in Europe, but the Americans didn't like it. Both in Europe and America each of the Dollar-Trilogy films was more successful than its predecessor, but OUATITW failed to accomplish that in the US.
So now I am looking for original critiques of the 4 discussed movies, both from the US and Europe. Does anybody have any hints where to find those (from the 1960's)?
Most probably a source for european critiques will be the Cahiers du Cinéma. Has anybody access to the english version? And where to find US critiques?
Thank you very much for every single hint! Andre
