Great that Scott has posted on the board - best of luck for future roles.

BTW, regarding Leone's English - I recently (only briefly, unfortunately) met someone who worked on OUATIA in the early stages before having to leave for another project, and she said Leone spoke English just fine... Didn't get the opportunity to ask much more than that, but may have a future chance to do so and will post if I do...

I can't help but think this Scott person isn't who he says he is. Maybe it's just me. Internet is far to trusting. Btw, I'm not a real mouse. ;)

Let's see. Sergio didn't really speak much English. Brian Frelino who was from PA, was his interpreter and more. Brian went with Sergio everwhere and was involved from the casting on. At least 2 years or more.
As far as his directing goes, he could play all the roles and didn't need to speak english.
He just acted stuff out for you. And I usually just followed his lead.
He was a great actor.  I love that people doubt that it's me. I mean, it's true, why would this guy who hasn't said a word in 20 years suddenly show up on this website?  And furthermore why hasn't he been working and why hasn't he returned any of the questions.

Sorry to be reviving this very old thread, but. . .

Did anyone check out Mr. Tiler's webpage? It has a fairly extensive biography and stuff up now. Apparently he's become an acting teacher/coach of some reknown. Check it out:

Lots of unanswered questions and it's unfair to expect Scott to know all the answers.

Probably the only person who could provide the truth is regrettably no longer with us and I used to wonder why these questions were not fully explored in the 80's.

Then I remembered the internet and how easy it is nowadays to ask questions, receive responses and broadcast those to millions of people.  Such technology was not widely available in the 80's.

One of the questions I have not seen raised before concerns the book "The Hoods".  It is said that  Sergio was obsessed with the book for over 20 years.  He therefore first read it in the early 60's at which time his fluency in English may have not been that good.  Did he read the book in English or did he read an Italian translation?  I've not yet had chance to read the book but some people criticise the grammar and structure but these may have not been important to Sergio if his English was not that good or he was reading a translation.

He read an Italian version of The Hoods. I am pretty sure it was inbetween GBU and West.

Claudia, we need you to appear in LOST COMMAND. It's gonna revolutionize the war genre..
